Screening is the process of measuring a child's development in the areas of:
- Speech and Language
- Motor Skills
- General Knowledge
- Hearing
- Vision
Children grow and change rapidly through the early years. A screening each year prior to kindergarten helps parents know if their child is developing within the normal range for his or her age.
Screening Type | Age/Grade |
---|---|
Health, Hearing, and Vision | Ages three (3) months to three (3) years |
Developmental Screening | Ages three (3) years to Pre-Kindergarten |
Kindergarten Screening | Five (5) years of age |
One (1) annual screening appointment per child is available to families registered in the Rockwood School District. Screening is funded by The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the Rockwood School District.
