Half-Day Preschool
Our Half-Day Preschool Program is a comprehensive three-hour class designed for children ages 3 to 5. Each morning and afternoon session offers engaging academic and social experiences in a fun, safe, and collaborative learning environment that encourages growth, exploration, and independence.
Our classrooms are inclusive communities where children of all abilities learn and grow together. Each class brings together a diverse group of learners and is led by experienced educators who understand early childhood development. Depending on the classroom, your child may have a general education teacher, a special education teacher, or a co-teaching team combining both areas of expertise - all of which are certified. Some classrooms include a blend of learners with varying support needs, allowing students to learn from and with one another through shared play and meaningful interaction.
Placement is based on space availability to ensure balanced classrooms and personalized attention for every child. All classrooms follow the Rockwood Early Childhood Curriculum, which is evidence-based, board-approved, and aligned with the Missouri Early Learning Standards. While all classes share the same curriculum and learning goals, class size and adult support may vary - some groups include up to 14 children, while others may have up to 20.
