2026-2027 School Year
Rockwood Early Childhood's registration will take place this year through an easy-to-use Google Form. Once enrollment opens, the registration link will be available on our program website. More information about the registration process will be shared on our website by the end of November and in December’s Superstar Scoop. We’re excited about this change and hope it makes the process smoother for all families as we prepare for another wonderful year of preschool!
Priority Wave Registration
January 12 - 16, 2026
To qualify for this wave of registration families must be currently enrolled and in good standing within REC Programming (half day, full day, or mini preschool), Active Home Visiting in Parents as Teachers, or a child of a Rockwood School district employee. Priority Wave registration does not guarantee placement - please read below to better understand the REC Lottery System of Placement.

Public Wave Registration
January 20, 2026
This wave of registration is open to all patrons of the Rockwood School District and beyond.
Please note that we are able to accept applications after the above waves of registration and place your child in classrooms where open spots remain.

Lottery Enrollment Process for Half Day & Full Day Preschool
Our program uses a lottery system to make enrollment equitable for all families. When you submit your application during the enrollment window, your child’s name is entered into the lottery.
After the lottery is held, families will be notified if their child received a spot or has been placed on a waitlist. If a space opens up, we’ll contact families from the waitlist in the order they were drawn.
Once the email confirming placement is sent by our registrar, families who do not have information in the infinite campus platform, will have 48 hours to complete this and submit all necessary documents to confirm your placement. If you have a returning student this will not need to be completed.
To complete the enrollment process, please make sure the following information has been provided:
- online application
- copy of child's birth certificate *
- proof of residency *
- $100 registration fee
* Returning students will not need to provide a birth certificate or proof of residency.
Please have a copy of the child's immunization record and physical exam submitted by August 1, 2026.
